The Night Before

Good evening, readers!
I am blogging from the comfort of my dorm room, both relaxing from the day's events and imagining the possibilities tomorrow holds. As you may be aware, tomorrow is the first official day of class. I know Professor Kramnick is both amazing at what he does and welcoming to his students, but I still find myself rather nervous for the course. I would call it a more nervous excitement, though. I am so overwhelmingly enthusiastic for tomorrow, for I possess so many ideas of what the class will be like. I can finally stop dreaming and see for myself what the next three weeks of my life will be like. I am so eager to tackle the information Ramiah, Justine, and I have been going over even before coming to Cornell, and I look forward to experiencing first hand Kramnick's teaching methods which I have heard nothing but praises for.
I do know the information we learn tomorrow will not be too thick. Professor Kramnick informed us during our first meet with him that we would go over all the mechanics of the class tomorrow. We will be familiarized with expectations, rules and regulations, important dates, and basically the way in which the class will be run. According to the syllabus, the only reading scheduled for tomorrow is the introduction to our readers. I look forward to finally acquainting myself with the outline of this three week course. I am also happy that we will learn the general schedule of our day-to-day classes. The last few days have been various events at random times, so none of us have been able to create a sort of schedule for ourselves. Tomorrow will provide us with some regularity, which will be great. We can all start to get into the rhythm of things.
I look forward to feeding off of Professor Kramnick's wit, as well as acquainting myself with the students in the class. I have so many images of what tomorrow will be like, but nothing will be concrete until I actually attend class. Post-first day, I will inform you all as to what my experiences were. Wish me luck on my first day!

- xoxo, Julia.

  1. Julia,

You're going to have a great time. You've all done your homework and you've prepared yourselves well for the adventures ahead.

And it never hurts to go in with the right attitude.
