On the Radar: Cornell Campus Tour

QUICK OVERVIEW OF THE CAMPUS

Since the Hotelies, including myself, were able to balance our work schedule for the day, we found time to explore the campus, including Collegetown. After several days living on campus, we all finally had the opportunity (on a beautiful sunny day) to navigate the area. Take a look at some of the breathtaking snapshots of the university.

Every day, when we exit Mary Donlon residential hall and walk to our class, we would always pass by this incredibly striking arch. The grand elegance to the architecture could not be missed.

Because these past few days, we were only within the perimeters of this small area, all the Hotelies could only see so much. Thus, when we stepped away, we were enthralled by the wide range of other buildings that captivated our attention. Here is the magnificent Cornell Law School.

Yueming, Louisa, and I decided to roam around town, but before we knew it, we all went straight to Collegetown, a location inundated with small eateries, including a place known for their bagels.

On the other side of the campus, away from Mary Donlon residential hall, there was a whole other half to the campus, filled with rolling hills and trees. Take a look at the strip of photos!

P.S. I hope readers find this useful, since none of the bloggers have posted up any pictures of the extended Cornell campus. Also, we had our first quiz today on what we learned yesterday on technology, and everyone did exceptionally well.
I will be sure to fill you in on what's happening tomorrow during class time. Until then, enjoy these astounding snapshots of Cornell--now, you know why it was named as one of the most beautiful campuses int he United States.

All the best,
Stacy

  1. Stacy,

Of course I loved the photos. I can't quite figure out what they have that I don't: my place is really old and I have a lot of plant life but my place doesn't look nearly as nice as in these photos and my plant life has moved into the brown phase (except for my evergreen weeds).

Just curious, is Collegetown off campus? I couldn't tell from the descriptions.

From the photo of the three ladies with the big smiles, you're all either having a good time or you're good at faking it. I'm betting on the former.

  2. Collegetown was a 10-minute walk from the Statler Hotel. We three girls had a fabulous time.

  3. Stacy,

Great posting. Sounds like the hotelies have everything under control course-wise and I love the fact that you are getting some nice weather and the opportunity to visit College Town.

Thanks for the quite astounding pix and keep them coming.

    See you soon.
